Dr. Avinash K Jain

Dr. Avinash Jain is the Chief Ophthalmologist and Medical Director of Kaveri Eye Care Centre, located in Andheri (West), Mumbai. He specialises in cataract, glaucoma and LASIK eye surgeries. Dr. Jain has an MBBS degree, a Masters in Surgery (MS), and is also a Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) in Ophthalmology. In addition he completed a Fellowship in Phacoemulsification Microsurgery from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai; a Fellowship in Medical Retina from Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore; and, a short-term Contact Lens training programme from LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad.

Kaveri Eye Care Centre was set up in 2004 as a modern and well-equipped hospital with a wide range of facilities. It has state-of-the-art equipment for surgical and medical treatment of cataract, retina, cornea, glaucoma, oculoplastic and oculo-oncology and diabetic retinopathy conditions.

Kaveri Eye Care Centre has recorded numerous successful eye treatment procedures and complex surgeries. The centre maintains a very high standard of hygiene, which is closely monitored by the support and maintenance team so that patients who are kept under observation have a clean and comfortable environment.

Kaveri Eye Care Centre strongly believes that preventive care is an important aspect to evaluate certain eye issues that frequently do not emerge with any symptoms in their initial – yet most treatable – stages. Hence the team always takes the time to explain the outcome of the patient’s examination, describe the available treatment alternatives and listen to the patient’s needs.

Kaveri Eye Care Centre functions on the basis of prior appointments for routine eye surgery treatments. Systems have been created whereby patients are offered exclusive appointment slots so as to provide convenience, minimize discomfort and maximize treatment outcomes. However, new patients and emergency cases are always handled on an immediate basis.
